Exclamation I need some database help!

Hello, since this is my first post on these boards, I would like to tell ya a little history of my programming background. I am taking a class which focuses on VB2005, it dosent really get too into the language the class only lasts half of the year , so I am a bit of a n00b, but... anyways I am trying to create a contact list program, and I am having trouble with the database part of it, I am trying to integrate it with an Access Database... If possible I am trying to add a picture box thing also... If there any very N00bish tutorials how to do this? Thanks In advance!

I will post pictures later to help describe what I am posting about!...

--And--
Is there any way I can use a "custom" database, without using access? Like saving the database attachment with a different extension? Thanks alot!

-Dillon

Er.. Changing a file extension doesnt change the format of the file.. Creating a "custom" databse is not quite a programming task for a beginner. It took oracle hundreds of millions of dollars and man hours to do, for example..

Mate, if you are looking to develop your own custom database then let me tell you it's not an easy task. I am assuming that you are just starting to learn programming and my answer is based on that assumption. Look at what buddy cjard said.
