Question Why the anonymous user can't view attachments?
I would like to know why the anonymous users are not allowed to view the attachments even though they are allowed to view the posts.

All boards I've seen require user account for this, also many non-forum sites do this.
To attach/involve users more to the site/forum probably...

Bandwidth costs money. Posts are cheap, attachments are expensive. This forum does not want to be a file hosting service, which it would be if it allowed any Tom, Dick or Harry to download attachments.
