Thread: VS 2012 RC Crashing

Hi Guys,

I have recently switched from Visual Studio 2010 to Visual Studio 2012 RC and I have been using it for about a month or more now.

Anyway, I have been working on a game engine and here is the problem.
When I leave Visual Studio open in the background while on a website, after about 3-5 minutes the whole IDE will crash and restart.
Now this only happens in code view because I switched to design view and it doesn't seem to be happening while I'm writing this.

It has happened about 5-6 times in the last 20 minutes and its really starting to annoy me.
Has anyone else been experiencing this behaviour, and should I get Visual Studio 2010 until the official release of Visual Studio 2012 comes out?

Yup. 2010 is the stable one. I wouldn't use 2012 for anything other than 'mucking about' at this stage.

Okay I'll download it when I get time, I forgot to mention that I had to reinstall windows and I just got 2012 cos it was the latest one but before that I had 2010 and 2012 and I wasn't having problems with 2012 :P
