Question how secure is web browser created in VB 2008

The first program I created with VB 2008 was a web browser (as per instruction video). Ever since then I frequently use it. Excuse my ignorance regarding web browsers, but I wonder if I need to be concerned about security issues?
i.e. am I leaving myself vulnerable? Are cookies left behind and how would I get rid of those?

Thank you very much for your time.

I'd have to agree with that, though I'm not sure exactly what and where the borders are. I know the internet cache and installed certificates is shared with IE, same probably goes for most if not all Internet Options as accessed from Windows Control Panel or IE Tools>Options.
