    Run from MS Small business server

    I have sucessfully deployed my app to MS XP computers throughout my shop. I have sucessfully deployed the app to the Small Business Server. All apps run fine when installed on the local machine. I would like to have certain pc's in the shop run the app from the server (so I do not have to install updates on 10 computers).

    I just tried running the server app by linking to the .exe file.
    Here is the error I get when I run the .exe file on the Small Business Server from a PC on the network:

    The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy. The operation required the SecurityException. To grant this application the required permission please contact your system administrator, or use the Microsoft .NET security policy administration tool.

    Request for the permission of type
    System.Security.Permissions.SecurityPermission, mscorlib
    Version=1.0.50000.0, Culture=neutral,
    PublicKeyToken = b77 etc… failed.

    Anyone point me in the right direction?

    Same Problem

    Hi,

    I am having the same problem. I have read a lot of info on how to solve this problem but they usually give too many options. I am not a Network person so I would just like a step by step resolution. Did you have any luck solving your security error?

    Thanks in advance,

    Mccalla

    If you use group policy/ active directory or can install msi files on each machine with ease, check out:
