    SAP competitor for ERP?

I'm doing some stuff in class about Enterprise Resource Planning and one thing we've heard of is SAP. Are there any competitors to SAP? Any free, open-source that you know of? Have any of you prepared ERP and if so can you talk about your experience? Thanks!

    Panaya

Panaya Panaya: SAP ERP Upgrade Automation Software can help those of you who are upgrading to ECC 6.0. Panaya software runs a simulation of your system and then reports what code fixes you must make and what tests you can run. You can then focus on what's going to impact your upgrade and not waste time on the rest.

ERP systems attempt to integrate all the basic functions of an enterprise, handled the organization's business. ERP systems can be built in house and acquired from such world class software companies as SAP and Oracle. The organizations need to base there operations on ERP.

The basic functions of the ERP are easy to adapt on most production streams.
I use Clarvision ERP, but there are other options as well.
