Please help! Can't figure this out!!!!

Here's what I want to do:

A user inputs username & password into textbox1 & textbox2.

Look up the user in AD & see if they are a member of "Help Desk"

If they are textbox3.text ="yes"
else
textbox3.text="no"

Please help!!! Snippets are always welcomed!!!!
