Question Encrypted Communication between Printing Server, DB Server and Thick Client

Observation:
Communication between the Thick Client and printing server and the database server is unencrypted.

Risk:
Communication could be intercepted.

Control Required:
Enable Secure connectivity between the client, application server and the database. E.g., Using SSL

Kindly advise. What should i do to implement this.
