I was wondering if anyone has ever made a program to read the output of a scale. What I want to do is make a program that runs in the background and monitors the scale. If something is placed on the scale I want it to respond with a pop up box asking the user if the items placed on the scale have been checked for accuracy, or something to that extent. Possibly asking for an order number before allowing anything else to be done.
Has anyone here done anything like this or know how I would go about making a program to read it/monitor it.
