how to set my aspx in iis

i am new in asp.net what i want to know is how could i set my aspx in my iis in order it to run. whenever i try to view my aspx page in a web browser it always tell that the "no website is configured in this address". i have created a virtual directory and go to http://localhost/myvd can you help me about this?

aspx problem

i really have a hard time in dealing with asp.net with iis 5.1. What i did is I paste my two webpage in C:\inetpub\wwwroot namely hello.html and hello.aspx. When i go for http:\\localhost\hello.html it display the page correcly but when i go for http:\\localhost\hello.aspx it display the following error:

Server Application Unavailable
The web application you are attempting to access on this web server is currently unavailable. Please hit the "Refresh" button in your web browser to retry your request.

i am really clueless about this guys, can you give me some help? thanks.
