Loading Digital Map

Hi,

I am working on an application which needs to load a digital map in Picture box control. Now I have used vector graphics in Flash for digital map. The problem is that the available image formats output heavy image which when I use gives error. I need a help regarding it.

Actually I want to load digital map into VB.Net and I am confused how to do that. I have digital map but the person who gave it to me is in .jpg format (which I think is no longer Digital map but raster image) and its size is pretty large and does not work in vb.net and while loading map in picture box the system hangs. Now I want to ask how I can utilize digital map in vb.net.
