looking through email

Im not sure if this was the right place to post but hopefully someone can help.

If someone is sending an email through VB.net instead of logging into outlook or an OWA page, is there a way to tell? as far as i can see... no...

Not that I know of. I guess a nice feature for an application that sends such mails is to send (optional) receipt to the sender address, like those you usually get when filling out contact/support forms on the internet.

No. Whatever application is being used to generate mail is totally irrelevant to the email process itself. If the sender chooses to append information (like the sent from Blackberry messages) that's their prerogative but (rightly, in my opinion) no application includes details of itself in the email stream as a matter of course.

hmm ok... It doesn't seem to ever hit the sent items folder for that users account... i wonder if it could even be restored then
