Could anyone of you recommend a .NET book that covers nearly everything.
Best book that is simple an easy to follow easy -> intermediate -> advanced.

You could try the following books which I have found useful

Apress Pro VB.2008 and the dot NET 3.5 Platform 3rd.Edition
Apress Accelerated VB.2008
