Directly converting Excel files to PDF with Aspose.Cells for .NET

The latest version 4.7.0.0 of Aspose.Cells for .NET has been released. In previous versions, converting Excel files to PDF needed two components: Aspose.Cells and Aspose.Pdf. With the new version, users can use Aspose.Cells for .NET only to implement this feature. This new change greatly optimizes speed and memory usage. The latest version also supports Gridline option of the page setup setting while printing worksheet, inserting a WAV file as Ole object, reading/writing checkboxes in Excel 2007 files, using anonymous types or custom object as data source in Smart marker, setting display zero value option, union and intersect two ranges, preserving data after saving the workbook, inserting blank rows in pivot table and enhances the calculate engine and supports more functions. Improved PDF file processing with Aspose.Pdf.Kit for Java

Aspose.Pdf.Kit for Java version 2.3.0.0 has been released. In this release, some new methods have been added in PdfFileStamp class to support more powerful stamp features. Deleting unsafe script is also supported in FormEditor which is useful for protecting the user's system from malicious scripts within the PDF document. Signing of PDF document multiple times is also supported. The PdfExtractor has been improved to support more powerful attachment extracting feature. OpenDocument Spreadsheet supported by Aspose.Cells for Java

The latest version 2.0.1.0 of Aspose.Cells for Java has been released. We have introduced support for importing and exporting spreadsheets in ODS (OpenDocument Spreadsheet) format in this version. In addition to this we have also incorporated some other new features. Setting shared formula is supported and strong encryption type is now available. You can also manipulate some advanced controls (e.g. Check box, Button, Radio button, Combo box, List box, Group box, Scroll bar, Label etc.). We have also added support for getting image data of Pictures and Ole Objects; as well as creating pivot charts. Also included with this release are numerous improvements and bug fixes. Improved PPTX file format support with Aspose.Slides for .NET

Aspose.Slides for .NET version 3.0.0.0 has been released. In this release we have significantly improved PPTX file format support. In addition to this it contains many improvements, new features and bug fixes. For example read/write access to custom document properties, rendering images with changed brightness and contrast, cloning slides with XP+ animations, removing VBA macros and much more. Better text extraction with Aspose.Pdf.Kit for .NET

The latest version 3.4.0.0 of Aspose.Pdf.Kit has been released. In this release, we have improved the text extraction from PDF document which allows you to extract some Unicode text such as Chinese and Japanese. We have also added a new feature which allows editing of bookmarks. New methods in FormEditor class have been added to support JavaScript. In addition to this, the features of attachment, digital signature and metadata have been improved. Also included with this release are numerous improvements and bug fixes. PDF linearization supported by Aspose.Pdf for .NET

Aspose.Pdf for .NET version 4.0.0.0 has been released. This release includes support for PDF Linearization, sometimes called Web Optimized or Fast Web View. Linearization allows for the faster display of PDF documents downloaded from the web. In addition to this, we have optimized the performance and memory usage for large table processing, added support for mirror margin when converting DOC to PDF and included support for importing PDF file into Corel Draw. Use custom localization resource sets with Aspose.AdHoc for .NET

The latest version 1.6.0.0 of Aspose.AdHoc for .NET has been released. By default there are three resource sets included with Aspose.AdHoc: English, Arabic and Dutch (Netherlands). With this release you can create custom localization resource sets based on a template provided in Downloads section of the web site and use them with Aspose.AdHoc. We have also added the new DataSourceInaccessible event which significantly simplifies data source lifetime control. Also included with this release are numerous improvements and bug fixes. The latest version 1.4.0.0 of Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services has been released. Technical Article – Utilize Aspose.BarCode in other programming languages

In this article we demonstrate the basic usage of Aspose.BarCode with PHP, Python, Perl, PowerBuilder, Delphi and VBScript. Examples are provided for each programming language to generate a barcode. Some basic steps for installation/configuration are also covered for these languages.

Tutorial Video – Get list of messages from IMAP Server using ASP.NET web service

In this video tutorial, we will show you how to access an IMAP server in an ASP.NET web services using Aspose.Network. We will first create an ASP.NET web service and then add two more projects (Windows Forms and Web site) to the solution for testing the web service. We will add web reference to the service in Windows Forms application and web site projects, so that they can invoke the service and call its public methods to get the list of messages from the IMAP server.

Technical Tip – Reading email messages from Microsoft SharePoint document library

In this technical tip we will show you how to read email messages from Microsoft SharePoint document library using Aspose.Network. We will utilize SharePoint SDK to get the Outlook Message file (.msg), which is already stored in the SharedDocument folder of SharePoint Document Library, in a stream and pass this stream to an instance of Aspose.Network.MailMessage class. MailMessage class will load the stream and parse the Outlook Message file. After that you can easily access the properties of MailMessage class e.g. Subject, TextBody, HtmlBody etc and utilize that information in your Visual Studio project.
