Gridview problem

Please how do I stop a particular cell from being edited or disabled when the edit button is clicked.

I have a gridview withthe showeditbutton set to true. But I wantthe the user clicks edit, a particular will be disabled or not turn into a textbox.

Set the ReadOnly property of the fields you don't want to be edited to True.
