How do I have the exe check to make sure the customer has the correct files?

Hi!

I'm new to VBnet. My program requires that their windows computer be up to date in order to work properly. How do I have the exe check to make sure the correct and up-to-date files are installed, and if not, can provide links to where they can get the updated software from?

If you use an installer (i.e. InstallShield), it will detect prerequisites for the application and check for them during installation.
