i am using Microsoft window xp home edition version 2002 service pack 1.
i try to install microsoft visual studio 2005 standard edition from a DVD. But setup has detected my computer does not meet minimum requirement and asked me to install window XP service pack 2.

Is it mean that i need to change my operating system? Or any other solution???

No, you don't have to change your operating system. You just need to do just as the installer asked you to do: install Windows XP service pack 2. I'm not sure how to make it more clear.
This service pack is very old now. You can go to the Windows Update website to get SP2.

Brief Description from the link provided:
This installation package is intended for IT professionals and developers downloading and installing on multiple computers on a network. If you're updating just one computer, please visit Windows Update.

The Windows Update link is post # 2.
