Oracle 8i Installation problem......

Hi
I am new to these forums and i hav problem while installing "Oracle 8i" in my PC.
The following error occured while installing oracle 8i
"error in writing to file c:\Oracle\Ora81\BIN\ORACORE8.DLL"
I am a begginer to Oracle and vb.net.Can nyone help me how to resolve this problem.

er, we normally provide support for using oracle, not installing it. Try the oracle forums.

ps; youre installing oracle 8 for personal use? isnt that like trying to crush an ant with a very old hammer? Have you tried oragle 10g express?
