.Net Application Architect is currently required by Chase Zanders prestigious client. You will produce architectural designs in a well structured manner to facilitate ease of development, testing, and support.
This will be a hands on all round role encompassing developing spike solutions of complex functionality as templates for further development to take place and mentoring of development staff in completing the solutions to fully-fledged applications where directed.
Responsibilities will be:
• To develop projects ranging from small to enterprise-wide, ensuring adherence to quality and technical standards
• Develop detailed application architectures and designs to standards and processes to support the future .NET requirements
• Ensure features are prioritised appropriately, are reliable, can be realised, and are pro-actively monitored / tracked to meet planned timescales
• Proactively assist the Project Managers in their development schedules to specify and scope their commitments to projects
• Manage architectural problems and issues arising from projects, escalating issues to the Development Manager as necessary
• Responsible for providing facilities to unit, integration and system testing development and / or system deliverables
• Contribute to the design of business processes in line with business requirements
• To contribute to appraising, coaching and developing team members
Requirements:
• VB.NET, Visual Studio 2005 & 2008 and SQL server
• WCF, WPF, WFF, LINQ, Silverlight
• ASP.NET, AJAX, Javascript
• Design Patterns, SOA, Enterprise development
• IIS 6 administration and configuration
• Unit testing, Test Driven Development, FIT
• Full knowledge of development methodologies, with full experience of the whole development lifecycle, including Agile methodologies
• Proven commercial experience of web-based, service-based, and enterprise-based architectures
• Unit testing, Test Driven Development, FIT (ideally)
