ASP.NET Developer (ASPD)

We currently have an opportunity for an ASP.NET Developer to join our close knit and hard working team at our Group Administration Centre at Nursling, just outside Southampton in the United Kingdom.
This state-of-the-art airline pilot training centre offers a unique, exciting working environment.
The role will provide critical support to the development team. You will be working across the board on projects which are crucial to the operational effectiveness of the organisation. These projects will be based upon Classic ASP and ASP.NET (VB) website design and development, IIS and SQL Databases.
You will have the skills and knowledge to deploy internal websites on Microsoft IIS, develop bespoke applications using ASP.NET (VB), liaise with business stakeholders, support the development team with bug fixes, own smaller projects and successfully deliver them, assist with the software release process and optimise overall system performance.
In addition you will be able to demonstrate an ability to take ownership of issues and see them to resolution, multi-task effectively through accurate planning, prioritisation and utilisation of own time, work effectively under pressure and be able to analyse and quickly learn new systems.
Your technical expertise and will include strong SQL skills, SQL Server Administration, IIS Administration, ASP (Classic), ASP.NET VB, Website design ASP.NET, HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript and Ajax, General IT Knowledge (MS Windows environment), SQL query writing and Store Procedures and knowledge of Application/Software Life cycle Management.
This permanent role is based on a flexible 40 hour week that will require some weekend working and occasional out of hours support on a rota basis with the other team members. The role offered with a competitive annual salary, dependant on experience. Employees are also entitled to subsidised eating facilities and free parking in a pleasant and modern working environment.
