Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition

Hi Everyone,

I am having a problem installing Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition on Windows XP.

The error that I get mid installation is.......

Setup could not install the following components: Visual C++ Runtime Pre-Requisites.

Can anyone help?

By that do you mean order a CD version?

Im eager to get started, wonder if anyone has the installation file they could send me ?

Scroll down until you see Offline Install.
This DVD contains all the Express products as well as optional components in a single image (ISO) file.

Download it. Burn it. Install it.

Or even easier, download & install Daemon tools then download the Express editions ISO, mount the image and install

Hi, I have tried the methods above and neither work I still get the same error about pre requisites.

Try doing a Microsoft Updates and install all of the Critical/Security updates then try installing VB 2008 Express again (from the ISO file)
