Visual Studio 2008 failing install (DW20.exe)

I have visual studio 2008 pro edition. I have used it many times as I have to reset my system back to default (recovery). I have used it on XP and vista. Recently, I reset my vista (home premium) back to the original factory default and now I can not install it.

I have the original cd's so there was no download. I don't understand why it work many times but now it won't. I have a HP system.

The error comes up with DW20.exe can not copy to temp file.

any suggestions?

To all that need another way to install:

I finally got visual studio 2008 installed on my Vista Home.

What I did was restart my computer in "Safe Mode". Then I started the installation again. It went thru the complete installation of the pre reqs. I got to put in my product key code then it failed.

After that I restarted my computer and opened Vista the normal way." not safe mode" and it installed right away.

Anyone having this problem try what I did.
