Tab control left tabs

Hi all,
i want the tab control to be on the left side...
And hence, In properties i have changed the Alignment option to "Left" as a result the tab appears in left side but the names(Text) appears in vertical manner... But i need the names(Text) to appear one after the other

it should be like...

name1----------its page should appear here
name2----------

but i get as
n
a
m
e(i.e in inverted manner)

Also i want to change the Tab color? How to solve this?
